Matthew Lapierre Joins Communication Faculty
The Department of Communication welcomes Dr. Matthew Lapierre!  Matt Lapierre received his Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania where his dissertation explored links between children's cognitive/affective development and their responses to persuasive communication.  Prior to graduate school, Matt studied math and philosophy as an undergraduate at the University of Massachusetts,  he then worked as an AmeriCorps*VISTA in rural Montana, a counselor with mentally-ill children, and at the... Patty Sias Joins Communication Faculty
Patty Sias specializes in organizational communication and conducts research on workplace relationships, uncertainty, and leadership. She obtained her doctoral degree in Organizational Communication from the University of Texas at Austin in 1993. She received the W. Professor Kory Floyd Joins Communication Faculty this Fall
The Department of Communication is pleased to announce the addition of Professor, Kory Floyd, this fall.  His research focuses on the communication of affection in close relationships and its effects on stress and physiological functioning. He has written 12 books and over 100 scientific papers and book chapters, and he is the current editor of Communication Monographs. His work has been recognized with both the Charles H.
