The Biomedical Engineering department is looking for an exceptional student to join our team in the Health Sciences Innovation Building. This is a professional position that will add real-world projects to your portfolio.

We are looking for students interested in expanding their skills in the following areas:

· Marketing

· Communications

· Event Support

· Multimedia, including Graphic Design & Video

· Advisor and administrative support

The Communications and Administrative Student Assistant will work directly with members of the Biomedical Engineering team in a variety of areas, from communications to graphic design and events to organizing the department bulletin board. Some tasks you may be assisting with include but are not limited to: generating content for our social media accounts, multimedia, print and digital marketing, newsletters, and promotional collateral.

You will also assist with biomedical engineering event and tour activities, with responsibilities to include assisting with event set-up, operating the event registration table, taking images and photos at events, and assisting with event promotion and metric reporting. You will also assist with various tasks to support our advising team and administrative needs, such as assisting with seminars, various research tasks, and ordering office supplies as needed.

· Ability to work in-person at HSIB

· Confidently and professionally interact with UA faculty, researchers, community VIP’s, and senior staff

This position involves:

· One year commitment as a University of Arizona student

· Approximately 15-20 hours/week, normally between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm, Monday-Friday

· Flexible schedule, with occasional weekend or evening hours for events
