Back in April of 2023, Susan Holland received recognition from a university-wide prize for teaching excellence. This Prize was created through a gift from the Thomas R. Brown Foundation in honor of Gerald J. Swanson. Swanson taught at the University of Arizona for more than 40 years, with his economics course being so popular it was considered a "must take" and had students lining up outside his office to be waitlisted. Swanson won several awards during his time at UA and now it is time to pass on the recognition for excellent undergraduate teaching. Read about the details of the award; the 2024 prize year is approaching with the deadline to nominate on December 4, 2023.
