Dr. Kory Floyd was inducted as an ICA Fellow at the organization’s annual conference in May. Fellow status in the International Communication Association is primarily a recognition of distinguished scholarly contributions to the broad field of communication. This is among the most prestigious honors given by organization, representing excellence across a career of research. It is reserved for elite scholars who have made significant and enduring contributions to the field. Only 3% of ICA members attain Fellow status.
Dr. Floyd’s research focuses on the communication of affection in close relationships and its effects on stress and physiological functioning. He has written more than 15 books and over 100 scientific papers and book chapters, and has received various prestigious awards.
