Communication Major, Sam Singh, Volunteers for Stuff the Cat Tran

Communication Major, Sam Singh with Classified Staff Council Director, Christina Rocha

Wednesday marked the finale of the UA4FOOD campaign with the Stuff the Cat Tran event.  Food donations from Communication Undergraduates, Graduates, Faculty, and Staff were taken over to the Cherry & University location to be combined with donations from all over campus.

Among the student volunteers at the Stuff the Cat Tran event was Communication major, Sam Singh.  He had this to say about volunteering:

"I volunteered because I got an email from the Comm Department. The event was great. So many people donated food, and I was immediately able to see the contribution it will make the our community in the future. To other students, even if you don't need it for anything, community service is a great way to relax and destress. I realized I didn't have a lot to put on my college resume as I am applying for internships and jobs. A word of advice would be to just put yourself out there, test your limits, and go above and beyond to get your job completed."

The Communication Department thanks Sam for his community service.
