Food Drive-Communication Participates in UA4FOOD

We are organizing a Food Drive to collect items that are most needed by the Community Food Bank and Campus Pantry as well as anything anyone can give including monetary donations.

$1=4 meals  You can donate a monetary gift here:

Most Needed Food Items

These items include, but are not limited to:

  • peanut butter
  • cereal
  • canned tomatoes
  • snack crackers and such
  • canned meat
  • canned soup
  • canned veggies
  • canned fruit
  • rice and pasta
  • beans
  • Please drop off your donations in the food drive boxes in Communication Rooms 102, 115, or 211

How your donations will make an impact:

BackPack Program: the Community Food Bank works with schools to make sure that kids have lunches during school and food for weekends.

Caridad Community Kitchen: 10 week training program for individuals whom are currently unemployed learn culinary skills and cook for people who are hungry

CSFP: helps to improve the nutrition of elderly individuals

Emergency Food Assistance (TEFAP): provides food to low-income households

After School Meals: provides snacks for children after school through the USDA At Risk After School Child and Adult Care Food Program.

Summer Meals Program: children will get meals during the day during the summer that they would otherwise not get when school is not in session.


UA4Food is The University of Arizona’s charitable campaign to fight hunger in Pima County conducted in partnership with the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona (CFB).


Important dates:

March 1st- March 31st: Month long food drive

April 5th: Stuff The CatTran from 7am-7pm. This is when you will bring your boxes of food to be picked-up for transportation to the Community Food Bank.
