New Public Relations Faculty in Communication

Communication Major, Sam Singh, Volunteers for Stuff the Cat Tran
Wednesday marked the finale of the UA4FOOD campaign with the Stuff the Cat Tran event.  Food donations from Communication Undergraduates, Graduates, Faculty, and Staff were taken over to the Cherry & University location to be combined with donations from all over campus.  Among the student volunteers at the Stuff the Cat Tran event was Communication major, Sam Singh.  He had this to say about volunteering: "I volunteered because I got an email from the Comm Department. Blood Drive In Memory of Amanda Kundrat
The Graduate Students of the Department of Communication at the University of Arizona are hosting what we hope will become our first annual memorial blood drive in honor of Amanda Kundrat joining the long running blood drive hosted by the Penn State Communication Arts and Sciences grads and faculty. Maggie Pitts elected President of ICLASP Association
Director of Graduate Studies in Communication, Maggie Pitts, was recently elected President of the ICLASP Association.  The international Conference on Language and Social Psychology was held this summer in Bangkok, Thailand, where Dr. Pitts delivered a key note speech and Presidential address on Communication Savoring.

How Your Smartphone is Ruining Your Relationship
A team of researchers asked 170 college students who were in committed relationships to see what role their phones were playing. People who felt that their partners were overly dependent on their devices said they were less satisfied in their relationship.
