How do I meet with an advisor?

  • Communication majors: Schedule an appointment on Wise Advising or attend walk-ins
  • Communication minors: Attend walk-ins
  • Prospective students: Attend walk-ins
  • Transfer students: Sign up for Transfer Orientation through Next Steps, you will meet with your advisor there

How do I schedule an appointment?

  • Log into Wise Advising using your Net ID and password
  • Select "College of Social and Behavioral Sciences"
  • Then select "Communication"
  • Click on a blue rectangle to schedule an appointment with your assigned advisor

How can I contact my advisor?

  • Appointment: limited to Communication majors only.
  • Walk-in: available to all students. Walk-ins are first come, first served and you are not gauranteed to meet with your assigned advisor. Meetings are 10-15 minutes.
  • Email: checked Mon-Fri between 8AM and 5PM. Please allow 3-5 buisness days for a response.

  • Prospective COMM students
  • Registration questions
  • Verify existing schedule
  • Questions about COMM major application process
  • MCWA Fulfillment
  • STU 210 Students

Appointments are required for:

  • Schedule planning (beyond next semester)
  • Study Abroad
  • ROTC/Military Forms
  • Thematic Minors
  • Transfer Evaluation/New Transfer Students
  • SAP Appeals (submit paperwork prior to appointment)
  • International Student Paperwork (Concurrent Enrollment, OPT, etc.)
